First-of-its-Kind UAE Internship Programme to Foster Innovation and Industry Skills
Alibaba Cloud, the technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has partnered with the University of Birmingham Dubai through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at delivering advanced cloud computing and AI learning opportunities to students and faculty.
The collaboration will integrate Alibaba Cloud’s expertise into the university’s curriculum, offering a blend of technology workshops, flexible online and in-person training, and certification courses. The University of Birmingham Dubai will also be the first academic partner for Alibaba Cloud’s inaugural UAE internship programme.
At the heart of the initiative is “Future Star”, Alibaba Cloud’s regional internship scheme. Running over three to six months, it combines comprehensive training, on-the-job learning, and personalised mentorship to prepare participants for careers in cloud computing. The programme provides exposure to a variety of roles, ensuring graduates are equipped to excel in a fast-paced digital economy.
