Gensler has announced the successful delivery of The NEST, Schneider Electric’s cutting-edge 10,000m² headquarters in Dubai, setting new standards for workplace design and innovation in the Middle East.
Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, The NEST combines sustainability, technology, and people-first principles to offer a progressive, future-ready workplace experience.
Serving as Schneider Electric’s first regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa, The NEST also represents the company’s first Impact Building. It consolidates office functions, training centres, and innovation facilities into a single, interconnected ecosystem that fosters creativity, agility, and collaboration.
A highlight of the design is the Innovation Hub, an interactive showcase where clients and partners can explore Schneider Electric’s market-leading technologies across different applications, including smart homes, offices, and data centres.
The building has already secured the prestigious SmartScore Platinum certification and is working towards LEED ID+C Platinum and WELL Equity certifications, placing it among the region’s most forward-thinking workplaces.
Jose Faine, Design Director and Principal, Gensler Middle East, stated:
“With The NEST, we set out to create more than an office – we designed a living, breathing ecosystem that embodies the future of work. Our approach focused on fusing technology, sustainability, and human experience to deliver a space that is not only smart and efficient, but also inclusive and inspiring. The NEST is a first-of-its-kind in the region and a project we are incredibly proud to celebrate alongside Schneider Electric.”
Home to 1,000+ employees, the facility is purpose-built to connect, inspire, and empower. By uniting Schneider Electric’s regional workforce, The NEST fosters a culture of collaboration and positions sustainability at the core of workplace innovation.
As the first initiative under Schneider Electric’s Global Impact Buildings Programme, The NEST serves as a blueprint for sustainable workplace transformation, setting new global standards for smart, inclusive offices.
For Gensler, this project represents more than the delivery of a building — it reflects the firm’s ambition to reshape work environments and create meaningful, human-centred spaces that inspire progress.
